The Greenest Way to Sleep

For us resting easy isn’t just about how incredibly comfortable our products are; it’s also about knowing that we’re protecting and taking care of what we love. That extends to our employees, our customers, and, possibly most important of all, the big beautiful planet we call home.

So just how does a bedding company propose to take care of the planet? It all starts with intentionality. From day one, we committed to designing, sourcing, manufacturing, and delivering every product in the most environmentally-friendly way possible. Here’s a look at how our mattresses do green, Suissly style – and it’s much more than slapping a pretty eco-sticker on the box.

Who Do You Love: Our Manufacturers

We started by working with manufacturers as committed to the environment as we are. All our mattresses and pillows are made in the only near-zero waste facility in the United States. What does ‘near-zero waste’ mean? A mattress factory cuts fabrics and foams, amongst other things, generating lots of leftover material. In a typical company, this excess winds up in landfills – but not with our manufacturer. They use a Materials Recapture System to collect all the cut-offs, reprocess them into useable-sized materials, and return them to the company to be used. Presto, zero-waste-o.

Show Us What You’re Made Of: Our Materials

Green technology has come a long way in the materials world, and we swooped in on the opportunity to take advantage on your behalf.

The big not-so-green elephant in the room for a lot of companies is memory foam, a type of polyurethane which traditionally ran rampant with ozone depleters, flame retardants, and other chemical-heavy and climate-threatening ingredients. These are nowhere to be found in the foams Suissly uses.

Moreover, our foams have what’s called a Low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) emission level. This helps protect your indoor air quality.

Oh Yeah? Prove It: Our Certifications

Since you’ve only just met us, we don’t expect you to take us at our word. We let our industry ratings do the talking for us. Green certification experts have come up with rigorous standards for environmentally sound mattresses, both in the U.S. and internationally. Suissly products undergo third party testing by independent, accredited laboratories to ensure we live up to these.

The memory and other polyurethane foams we mention above all meet CertiPUR-US® program standards for content, emissions and durability.

Our latex materials go a step further and have received a new certification available to mattress manufacturers: Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS). This latest high bar was set by Control Union Certifications (CU), a globally recognized organic certifier, based on their years of experience certifying organic products in other industries, including foods and textiles. With this stamp of approval, you can rest assured that all our materials and manufacturing processes adhere to a specific set of strict global organic standards.

Sweet Dreams For You: Our Green Promise

As you can see, we care as much about what goes into our mattresses as we do about how you sleep on them. While we’re just getting started, we promise that every aspect of our design and manufacturing process is, and always will be, meticulously chosen to minimize environmental impact. We hope this lets you sleep just that much more soundly each night.
